AquaTerra™ G-17 Combat Pistol Slide

AquaTerra refers to “sea and land”. And that is exactly what this package is designed for – specifically to withstand any hostile environment an operator could possibly find on this earth. Whether you need to fight in the searing heat and weapon-grinding sand of a middle eastern desert, in the salty gun-rusting cold of a North Sea oil rig, or in the rotting green mass of a tropical jungle, the AquaTerra system will withstand anything you could possibly encounter and deliver the reliability and accuracy that has become hallmark for TSD products.

We begin with the TSD Combat Systems Match G-17 slide, precision machined out of aerospace quality 17-4, heat treated to a uniform RC 46 throughout (not just on the surface), and have them finished in our proprietary AquaTerra plating process. This process creates a permanently lubricious surface that eliminates the need for any grit-attracting wet lubrication, or cleaning for thousands of lube-free, corrosion-free, trouble-free rounds. When slightly lubricated, overall wear properties are superior to any other finish or plating process commercially available today to civilian or military end-users.

The AquaTerra plating process produces consistent tolerances within ± 1 to 2 microns. The result is uniform plating throughout the slide, exceeding Rockwell hardness of any other finish commercial, OEM, or military (68-72 C) and an extremely low friction coefficient (.04). For our excellence-seeking customers, this means unsurpassed durability and reliability in any environment on earth.

The TSD Combat Systems Barrel is machined from solid 416 stainless steel, and then hardened to 41 RC. These barrels hold tolerances to +/- 0.001″ to 0.002″ in all critical areas. Cut broach rifling is used, with 1:16 rifling, and a left hand twist. These are superior in every way to any other aftermarket drop in barrels available today and exceed the accuracy potential of the OEM units. Unlike the OEM units, you can use any type of 9mm bullet you wish to use without affecting reliability, accuracy, or safety in any way.

The Trijicon RMR included in the package has been tested to pressures equivalent to depths of 66 feet/20 meters, meeting the requirements of an Advanced Open Water Diver. As added assurance, the sight is double sealed with a polymer adhesive strip to provide even greater protection from the elements.
